THE RISING MOON COLLECTION

Moonlight hits differently in the tropics. The way it slats through the leaves of palm trees, dances on the ripples of ocean, and hangs on the horizon before sunrise.

A friend told recently told me that the waxing moon—the time where a moon is going from new to full--symbolizes a time for setting intentions and nurturing new ideas. That’s a concept I kept coming back to as I designed my latest collection.

After many years of living between Hawaiʻi and California, I recently moved full time to the islands. I’ll never be entirely done with the romance of California, the muted natural tones of ranch life, and backdrops of prairies dotted with wild oaks, from which i gathered a lot of my inspiration. But this new adventure of every day beach life has birthed something new in me, rooted in the vibrant saturated colors of the tropics, that has me dreaming of abstract prints and bold hues. My newest collection, the rising Moon, reflects that evolution.

We will continue to work with our longtime collaborators: artisans in Bali who block print and tie dye our fabric by hand in small-batches. And each piece is still built to last, with tailored details and quality fabrics—the foundation of this brand was to create investment-worthy heirlooms to be part of your forever wardrobe. But going forward, expect to see more beachy prints and vacation-ready dresses (and yes, swimsuits too)—the type of pieces that elevate any day into a memory-worthy occasion.
